Asperger's takes a back seat to Betty Dylan

I feel this strange need to apologize for skipping a few weeks of Asperger's Conversations podcasts.  I do have plans for upcoming programs and would like to let those of you who have been emailing me know that you can stay tuned for more online interviews.

I spoke on the phone today with Dr. Dan from the Nashville based band, Betty Dylan, about their plans to tour the northeast this fall (NYC, Ithaca, Saratoga, Keene NH).  The band, Betty Dylan, has graciously performed a fund raiser for the Keene State College Asperger's Resource Group in the past (see review).  Dan wanted input from my daughter Annika (Betty Dylan's number one fan) on which songs to highlight for an upcoming recording label.  Annika quickly popped off these:

Are you Happy Now?, Folsom Prison Blues (the Johnny Cash tune), Rollerskates (the old Melanie song), Don't Toss me Away, Hard time Showin' it, and Rocket Man (the Elton John Song).

In addition to great music, Betty Dylan addressed issues of culture...especially American Culture and how people respond to it.  We've addressed this issue in terms of Asperger's in previous blog entries and podcasts.  Check out one of my favorite Betty Dylan songs, Hard Time Showin' It:

and stay tuned for future podcasts!
