Every once in awhile you meet someone who is so impressive that it leaves a lasting impression. Sashamon was born on the island of Molokai and now lives modestly on the island of Kauai where he surfs and makes music that touches the heart and passes on a message of peace and justice. I met with Sashamon on March 16th, the day the road opened up from the North Shore, in his home in Anahola, not far from the beach. As the rain was beating down (about 3 inches an hour for a bit), we talked about Hawaiian homeland, his music, and his message. We hope to use his music for our next video on Asperger's which will focus on culture and success.
I present today's podcast unedited and in its entirety (why not? It seems like such a "real" Sashamon-like thing to do). I've never endorsed "products" but I urge you to check out his life affirming music. Click on the MP3 file below to hear this 20 minute uncut interview:
...and listen to Sashamon's music
