Kids, Adults and Fun: With implications for Asperger's

I'm in Swan's Island, Maine, again for a week of swimming, biking, and lobstering (with special thanks to longtime lobsterman, Sonny Sprague of Swan's Island.  When you are alone with two ten year old kids (my daughter and her friend), you get to focus on one thing only:  FUN.  In today's podcast I speak to the kids about "fun."  How do adults and kids differ?  What do we need to do to engage our kids?  As an aside, how can we help people with Asperger's and related problems have fun as well?

click on the MP3 file below (let's hope the dial-up wireless at the Swan's Island post office will do the trick!) to hear this week's podcast on FUN:

Festival of Trees: From NYC and Keene, New Hampshire

I diverge from Asperger's and Autism today...Can't resist submitting my entries for the Festival of Trees to meet today's deadline.  Today, from Canal Street in Chinatown in New York City, this tree vendor was peddling some real cute bonzai tree:Img_1308_1

And from Keene, NH, my daughter picked out her favorite tree along the bike path just yesterday while we rollerbladed through town:
