Interview with John Elder Robison

In a previous blog entry I pointed to an interview with John Robison about his new book.  John Schnaars pointed me today to an interview with Robsion on Treatment Online.  Robison talks about problems in labeling and social skills development, among others.

It's interesting that the terms "problems" are used. In the context of this book, Robison appears to be an interesting original and there is something to be said about that. If he were a regular part of the high school herd, would we really be interested in reading about him?

He creatively was able to surmount his problems. Credit should be given for that.

The concept of a "norm" seems to be making oneself as bland as possible. If that is the case, give me someone with "problems" any day.
