That's great. I think for written tests in general, particularly if time is a relevant factor, it's good to let people use some kind of keyboard if they desire. It's faster than handwriting, and, if the people experience pain with extensive handwriting (I do after just a few minutes, I'm sure other people get it too), then a keyboard would let them put more effort into actually working on a writing assignment than trying to hurry up and finish so their arm will stop hurting. So that's great.
