People care if you're a penguin: News from Occupy Wall Street

I headed down to Wall Street (yes, in Penguin suit) with my daughter and a crew from Keene, NH (10/22).  I usually wear the penguin suit at the Keene Pumpkin Festival (held the same day) to raise money for the New Hampshire Special Olympics' Penguin Plunge.  I thought it might be fun to be the penguin at Occupy Wall Street but never expected such a response.  Hundreds of photographs were taken and I did three television interviews (all because of the suit).  I support the Occupy Wall Street movement but the big lesson of the day: If you wear a penguin suit, people are interested in what you think about world events!  And we wonder why neuro "atypical" people can't make sense of the world!

Is it live or is it me? Living in the real (or not real) world

I was asked by a colleague in a different department to give a talk to her students tomorrow on METHODS focusing on what can go wrong in research studies.  But, alas, I have to be elsewhere (in my own class for the first go round, then probably in the car taking my kid to her soccer game for the second go round).  What's a busy Prof to do? Voicethread it! (Am I the first to make a verb out of Voicethread?)
